Day one of the Karaka yearling sale wrapped up with 206 horses sold, more than $38 million traded and averages and medians up on last year. The session featured intense late bidding, highlighted by a Snitzel colt selling for $850,000.
Buyers from Australia, Hong Kong, China and New Zealand competed strongly across a balanced catalogue, with 19 lots already above $400,000. Vendors and agents left encouraged and confident heading into day two.
